While Pavane tunes its piano on a regular basis, there is no guarantee the instrument will be tuned prior to a specific session. The studio can arrange the piano to be tuned for a fee upon request.

**NOTE: All setup time will be billed as regular studio time. This includes: load-in and instrument setup, microphone placement, level setting, client data preparation, CD burning, etc.
The rates quoted include an engineer, the use of the studio facility and its inventory. Equipment that is not part of Pavane’s inventory can be acquired but will be subject to rental costs or other applicable charges.
Pavane will make every effort to prevent its own equipment failure, but assumes no liability for delays or charges caused by failure of Pavane’s equipment during sessions. Pavane also assumes no liability for clients' equipment, other personal property, or CDs stored on the premises. Client should take responsibility to insure his own hard disks, CDs, recordings and equipment from loss or harm.
For project-based goals (fixed budget or contract work) the client is required to pay 50% of the projected “total” studio cost in advance to confirm bookings, with the remainder to be paid upon completion. The deposit is non-refundable.
When actual charges exceed the total estimated cost by SGD 1,500, all charges must be paid for recording to continue.
For indeterminate projects (non-deadline/ongoing recordings, productions), payments is required at the end of each session.
No master mixes will leave the premises until full payment is received. Further, all recorded media shall remain the property of Pavane Recording Studio Pte Ltd until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
All balances are payable to Pavane Recording Studio Pte Ltd via cash or cheque in Singapore dollars as specified on the invoice.
Any unpaid balance of charges are subjected to 7% p.a. late fee.
Cheque returned unpaid by your bank are subjected to SGD40 fee.
Studio time is reserved in advance by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Studio time should be reserved at least 30 days in advance. Our schedule is variable and due to this, we recommend that clients do not wait until the last minute to book studio time. We may accept last minute booking if studio time is available and depending on the circumstances.
When a client places a “hold” for studio time, it is kept as unconfirmed reservation. A “hold” reservation cannot be guaranteed, and we will notify you if we have a established booking challenging your “hold”.
The cancellation of a session is often inevitable. However, a “no show” (no phone call or notice) will be charged for the time booked. If cancellation occurs from 1 to 3 days prior to the session, the client will be charged for 1/2 the session(s) value. If cancellation occurs 7 days (or more) in advance of session dates, the client can re-book the session(s) without penalty, allowing the studio to re-book the (newly) available time with other clients. This is a policy based on courtesy and professionalism: please respect it.
The studio charges will commence from the time of the confirmed booking or the commencement of equipment setup, which ever comes first. Clients are reminded to be punctual in order to avoid any misunderstandings.
Pavane provides adequate hard drive space for client projects. Files are not retained or archived at Pavane after conclusion of project. If the client wishes to have backups of their sessions and related tracks, they are required to pay for archiving services. This can be done in one of two ways: either the client can purchase a hard drive (firewire/USB. etc) for their project, or they can choose to have them archived to CD-R/DVD-R. The latter method may require sessions to be partitioned to hold all session data. Pavane Recording Studio recommends the use of a hard drive – sessions are more efficiently and securely archived and may still be utilized for further recording should the client require. The cost of archiving varies. You can discuss this further with Pavane for the option best suiting your needs. Archiving is recommended, but not required. Should the client decide against archiving their material, please be aware that session data will be permanently erased upon completion of the project.
The Client is the Producer
Unless the client has prior arrangements with Pavane’s engineer to act as Producer, thereby providing production input, all decisions and approval of recorded material are the responsibility of the client. It is therefore recognized that the client is the Producer. The client is thus responsible for adequacy, appropriateness of music style, performance, microphone/preamp choices, tape type, format and all use of outboard effects, reverbs, equalizers, limiters, instruments, and studio performers. It is also recognized that it is the responsibility of the client to insure that final mixes are performed to his/her satisfaction. The engineer must in this case only respond to the values chosen by the Producer.
Pavane can recommend a variety of independent producers/engineer to fit your specific project. Production/recording fees should be discussed with the individual producer/engineer. Pavane is not responsible for the quality of work by independent producers or engineers.
Customer’s Liability For Infringements
The customer shall indemnify and save Pavane harmless of and from all suits, claims, demands, and other liabilities and expenses, including legal fees and disbursements arising out of the recording, productions, editing or distribution any CDs, tapes or equivalent in connection with which Pavane shall have furnished any goods and services.
Renter will leave studio clean and neat. Place your unwanted trash in the trash bins provided.
Renter also agrees that if any equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc. are mishandled, broken, ruined or stolen while they are using the studio that they will replace and all items or pay repair/ replacement costs within 7 days.
Please be respectful to the neighbors during arrival and departure.
NO smoking or illegal substances are allowed in the premises. Food and drink is allowed in the pantry ONLY.
DO NOT bring anyone with you who is not a part of the recording. This includes children, boy/girlfriends, friends, relatives, etc.
DO NOT bring young children along with you to the studio, as our facility is not equipped to handle childcare, and you will be held liable for any damages you and your guests cause to the studio.
Filming and photography is NOT permitted in Pavane Recording Studio unless permission has been granted by the studio manager.
